Slaley Hall Hotel & Golf Resort

Located on an ancient mound and in 1000 acres of beautiful Northumberland forest and moorland, this elegant Edwardian Mansion offers a unique setting for a fantastic golfing break. Luxury, comfort and friendly service make this hotel one of the best in the area.

Most of Slaley Hall’s bedrooms are based in the New Hall, a modern building attached to the main Hall itself, and have views over the courtyard or the grounds. They are elegantly and comfortably furnished with Egyptian bed linen and all the facilities you would expect. The deluxe rooms are larger than the standard rooms with a few extra luxuries and if you really feel like treating yourself, then plump for one of the suites, four of which are based in the Old Hall.

Dining in is a treat at Slaley Hall. The Claret Jug, based in the clubhouse, serves light meals and snacks during the day and them becomes an elegant Bistro for the evening. Locally sourced ingredients are used as far as possible and there is an excellent wine list as well as good local and national ales. The Duke’s Grill and Hadrian’s Brasserie provide an alternative dining experience and the bar has a lovely warm and comfortable atmosphere for your after dinner brandy.

There are plenty of activities available at Slaley Hall from relaxing treatments in the Spa to quadbiking and clay-pigeon-shooting, and not least are the two fantastic 18 hole courses. So, whether you want to take a walk around the extensive grounds, enjoy a work-out in the gym or a dip in the 20 metre indoor pool, you will be spoilt for choice.

The Hunting Course

7000 yards, Par 72

A USGA standard course designed by Dave Thomas, the Hunting Course is due to host the PGA Seniors Championship in August 2009. Beautifully maintained amidst the Northumberland moors with glorious fairways and well placed bunkers, the Hunting Course offers quite a challenge so don't be caught out!

The Priestman Course

6951 yards, Par 72

Opened in 1999 and designed by Neil Coles, this well maintained, rolling course is well suited to all abilities and golfers will enjoy the wide views over the Tyne Valley.
