Cheshire Course at Carden Park

This Jack Nickalus designed course is found at the historic 17th Century Carden Park estate amongst 750 acres of Cheshire countryside.  Created in late 1998, it has in recent years become a golfing Mecca in the northwest of England and is most definately worth a visit as part of a short golfing break.

 

The conditioning of the course is superb and the holes are typically Nicklaus-like, pleasurable but eminently fair.  Everything is laid out clearly in front of you.  With plenty of water and several strategically placed bunkers there are full of challenges to undertake but there are also plenty of teeing areas making the course playable for all standards of golfer.

 

This course is great fun and holds your interest very well.  Although not the most inspiring piece of parkland in the world, Nicklaus has made full use of the land available.  Carden Park has already played host the PGA Seniors Tour on two occasions.

	De Vere Heron's Reach (88km) Set within 230 acres of parkland and within a few minutes drive from Blackpool this modern hotel provides a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of town life.
