Palheiro Golf

 

Situated 10 km east of Funchal, set within the magnificent Palheiro Nature Estate this 18 hole, par 72 Championship Golf course boasts magnificent views overlooking the the town and bay.  Designed by Cabell Robinson in 1993 the course is remarkable for its bermuda grass fairways, fast greens and the presenece of many spectacular mature trees, this course is a worthy challenge for all handicap levels.

 

The clubhouse has a unique open plan design which is both spacios and welcoming and has one fo the best views on the island.  Sitting high above the bay of Funchal, enjoy panoramic views over the mountains and Atlantic Ocean from the comfort of the terrace whilst siping a post round drink with friends.

 

 

	Casa Velha Do Palheiro (<1km) A delightful, country house hotel situated high above Funchal and in the midst of the 200 acre Palheiro Estate.
	Riu Palace Madeira Hotel (5km) The 4 star Riu Palace is quietly situated in the village of Canico de Baixo and prides itself on its friendly and helpful service and excellent food. Golfers will appreciate its location midway between both the island's courses.
	Vila Gale Santa Cruz (9km)
	Dom Pedro Baia Club (13km) Just a few minutes from the fishing town of Machico and in a privileged location overlooking the bay, the Dom Pedro Baia provides a great base for golfers not far from Santa da Serra golf course.
