When Pepe Gancedo surveyed the beautiful countryside around Canyamel, he knew that he needed to spoil Mallorca as little as possible when designing the course. Pepe Gancedo developed this course to take into account many of the existing features. For example, the little house on the 9th hole was preserved as were the typical dry stone walls on the 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th, where they come into play across and adjacent to the fairways.
