Andraxt

This attrative and immaculate 18 hole course is praised for its originality with several raised tees offering stunning views of the Mallorquin coastline. The back nine are submerged in the countryside, surrounded by pine trees and Mediterranean flora.  The contrast in colours between the three different grass types that are used really stands out and give the course a very vibrant feel.  There is no mistaking the fairway and the rough at Andraxt!

 

Seven ponds and lakes divided between six holes, and some sixty snow white quartz filled sand bunkers all help to ensure that even the most experience players rarely return to the clubhouse with the same ball that they started with.

 

The course is irrigated with recycled water and rainwater collected in tanks. The Andratx Club de Golf also has its own desalination plant ensuring, the long term protection of the environment.  Great to know in today's ever environmentally concious world.

 

David Kidd of Gleneagles almost carved the holes out of the Andratx hills when designing this course. Perceived as being one of the more challenging courses on the island, the narrow fairways and numerous obstacles will have you thinking through each shot with care.  Overall a good course with plenty of stunning scenery.

 

	Sol Barbados (11km) The Sol Barbados is located at the quieter end of Calvia Beach/Magaluf overlooking the bay. A great beachfront position within walking distance of the many restaurants, bars and nightlife the resort has to offer. Golfers will enjoy the close proximity to seven great courses.
	Son Caliu Hotel Spa Oasis (11km) This good value hotel, close to the marina area of Portals Nous and to the lively resort of Palma Nova, is just right for golfing groups.
	Aparthotel Ponent Mar (11km) The Ponent Mar is a popular self-catering aparthotel located close to the lively resort of Palma Nova.
	Elba Sunset Mallorca Hotel (11km) The sophisticated 4 star Elba Sunset Mallorca hotel occupies a prime location on the coast of picturesque Palma Nova, overlooking the beach.
	Marina Portals Hotel (13km) The Salles Hotel Marina Portals is situated close to centre of Portals Nous and only a few minutes walk to the exclusive Marina of Puerto Portals with its many boats and yachts, along with its vibrant bars and restaurants serving the finest seafood and European dishes.
