Marina Golf Mojacar

Situated within the Marina del la Torre Estate, orverlooking the sea at the foot of the hills from which the whitewashed Moorish town of Mojacar dominates the surrounding area.

 

Split into two very distinct halves, the first 9 holes are flat and run close to the beach whilst the back 9 holes are found on the other side of a hill in a peaceful valley where the scenery differs considerably.  The first 3 holes are on a plateau overlooking the sea and offer stunning views.

 

Originally opened in 2000, Marina Golf encountered a few teething problems and closed for a period before opening again, much improved, in 2003.  There are plans to further progress this course with €1.5 million due to be invested in the course to raise it's standard to match that of its neighbours Desert Springs and Valle del Este.  At present, Marina Golf remains a good 'holiday' course that is useful for a practice round whilst in the area.

A great evening and a chance to take in some of the local culture.
