Chaparral

Chaparral Golf Course was designed by Pepe Gancedo who also designed Torrequebrada. It offers wonderful views of the Mediterranean and benefits from beautiful wooded surroundings. The fairways are wide and varied creating a challenge for all levels of golfer and the Andalucian style clubhouse is worth visiting at any time. It is situated close to Fuengirola yet you feel as though you are in the heart of the countryside.

 

The course has been designed with equal numbers of par 3's, par 4's and par 5's making it an interesting course to play. The par 4 opening hole is a great way to start and gives a foretaste of things to come! The drive needs to carry over a small stream and onto a sloping fairway and the green is on two levels. The par 53^rd is perhaps the trickiest hole on the course, so it is as well to get it over and done with early on! A ditch crosses the fairway about 100 metres before the green and the green itself is long as narrow. Great for long hitters as long as you are accurate.

 

 

	Beatriz Palace & Spa Hotel (3km) The 4* Superior Hotel Beatriz Palace & Spa, built on the edge of Fuengirola, is a chic, pretty, Andalucian style hotel which will suit couples and groups alike.
	Las Piramides Hotel (4km) A great value hotel for both families and groups. Located close enough to the nightlife of Fuengirola to be able to walk, but far enough out for easy parking!
	Las Palmeras Hotel (5km) Well situated right in the centre of Fuengirola opposite the harbour.  With the courses in easy driving distance and the lively nightlife of Fuengirola on the doorstep, this hotel is very popular with golfing groups.
	Aparthotel Pyr Fuengirola (5km) If it is lots of nightlife on your doorstep that you are after, then the great value Aparthotel Pyr Fuengirola, situated right on the sea-front could be the place for you.
	Atlantic Club Campanario de Calahonda (6km) Located in the Calahonda area between Fuengirola and Marbella, these two and three bedroom apartments offer great value for groups and families.
