Victoria Clube De Golfe

Victoria Clube de Golf is a 18 hole championship, Arnold Palmer course, the fifth in the Vilamoura area, covering a vast area of 90 hectares over a total distance of 6,506 metres.

 

With 5/6 tees per hole you can choose which will allow you to play your best and provide you with the most opportunities.  With wide and undulating fairways, extensive water hazards and well positioned bunkers, the Victoria Course rewards the ambitious golfer.  Interestingly, all 18 greens are completely different shapes and sizes with different gradients offering you a new challenge on each hole.  Playing this course will be a unique and unforgettable experience to any player, and it is most certainly destined to become one of the best and most sophistocated courses in Europe ideal for top international tournaments.

 

The man-made lakes featured throughout the course provide hazards for all levels of player and also serve as water reservoirs for irragation.  Victoria was specially designed to provide sustainable residential development within the natural surroundings and more importantly offer stunning ocean views from the entire complex.  Arnold Palmer's design company has planned an amazing 500 course layouts worldwide and this can certainly be considered as one of the best!  Every care has been taken to preserve the existing wetland, the carob, olive and almond trees.

 

 

The first hole is deceptive, so watch out for the fairway bunkers positioned to the right and the left of where the ball should land. The par 4 2^nd is short but accuracy and confidence is vital here to reach the elevated green that slopes to the front. Water comes into play on many of the holes, and the par 4 7^th is a tricky dog-leg left with a lake to the left making a good drive necessary to carry it.
