This 18-hole course has recently been remodeled and upgraded and is getting rave reviews. The golf club is situated above a peninsular that juts out into the Indian Ocean with terrain that is densely vegetated and undulating.
The climate is Mediterranean with prevailing South Easterly winds in summer and North Westerly in winter. Kikuyu tees and fairways completes the course and ensures the golfer of a wonderful experience where you can see the sea from every tee.
The Mossel bay course has now gained a reputation among local and overseas visitors as a ‘must play’ venue when visiting this part of the famed Garden Route area. Although the course is near the sea, it cannot be classified as a true links course even though this is the feeling you will get here. Low bushes lines the fairways and you will encounter sandy lies and heather-like bush that wraps around your club with great enthusiasm! At 5880 metres Mossel Bay is not particularly long, has no water hazards and can best be described as user-friendly. But don’t be fooled - there are 94 pot bunkers! The undulating greens are fast and when the wind picks up, expect a challenge.
Facilites include a pro shop, driving range, club hire, carts and pull trolleys.
