Knysna’s flat golf course, threading its way through tall blue gums and pines, has always had much to advocate it. An upgrade program introduced in 1998, has continued over the intervening years and the course has undergone some considerable alteration, resulting in an even better golfing experience.
New water features have been introduced and real attention paid to the bunkering throughout the layout. The major task was to improve the existing greens. That this has been successfully implemented can be seen from the clubhouse as the eighteenth hole now has a superb bent grass surface covering a large undulating area, shapely and well manicured. Bunkers protecting the green add to what is now a substantial finishing challenge.
On this course you will enjoy a gentle stroll through tree-lined fairways and will not experience the fatigue you might on the more testing courses. The surrounding hills provide scenic backdrops and there is a great variety of trees, flowers and bird-life to watch out for. The quaint clubhouse has a pleasant halfway house with a terrace and welcoming bar. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing, so enjoy!
Facilities include a pro shop, club hire carts and pull trolleys.
